You should address your crime, whatever the circumstances, you must show remorse and ask for them for forgiveness. The warden is essentially the judge here and if they feel you are bullshitting, they will deny it without reason.

The inmates are the cooks, and unless they have been watching Bobby Flay, the food remains bland. Inmates with money on their books can supplement their food intake with "better" food options from the commissary.
