Parole is only available if the judge stated so in the Judgment and Commitment Order. Normally, two year sentences are not ones with parole attached, but you could call the counselor and ask if there is a possibility of parole.

You might be able to get away with a county visit if their vetting procedures are not as strict. We don't know the facility you are going to, so we cannot offer anything further. If you are not permitted to visit in the prison, why would they let you visit in the county jail? Unless they don't know why you are being denied, you could try and see what happens.

It is 100% true that if an inmate tells a guard about a situtation and others find out about it (and they always do), the inmate will forever be tagged as a snitch and will face retribution for the balance of their sentence.
