InmateAid has a service that allows inmates to write a member through the site. Some members would like to write inmates but keep their address confidential.  This service works for members who would like a pen pal relationship without having to disclose where they live.  The service cost $1.49 to retrieve the letter from you account.

The visitation for juvenile facilities is strict and might be limited to family members only. There are other restrictions that come in play depending upon the offense level of the person you are wishing to visit

Generally, it takes 1-3 days to be received by the prison. The prison staff inspects each piece of mail for contraband which sometimes delays actual delivery to the inmate at mail call.

InmateAid's letter writing service is NOT an email contact with the inmates. Inmates DO NOT have Internet access - they can only receive letters and photos via US Postal Service.

You may search for registered inmates using the "Search InmateAid Profiles". Type in their name, if there are no profiles matching you may create one within your member account.

There could be a simple reason, he might have run out of money in his account or minutes available in the month.  Most institutions have limits on the number of minutes an inmate can call in a month (not the by the calendar but by date it began). If you are really worried, you can call the institution and have them check on him to be sure.

You have to put money on his commissary account through Western Union and it gets ordered - which takes a week or so.  Black and white is about $100, color is $250-300. They do count against commissary spending but not the entire amount for one month.

There is no way of knowing who the caller is without getting the actual prison involved. The prison calling system tracks and records all calls. If you want to pursue it, you will have to make a report to that particular jail.
