Hello My husband suppose to be in S.Q.S.P but its saying he's in S.F.C.J. is there any particular why?..Is he OK ,do I call the prison to find out or the county...vwhat number do I call for San Quentin state to find out

My fiancee is an inmate at Hunts correction center in he is supposed to be released 1-17-16 but now they r saying he may have to stay for another 3 month's for probation fees that he didn't pay when he first got charged. How can they do that?

It depends on the judge's orders. If there is a provision in the sentencing document that offers early release for paying the fees he owes, then not paying the fees would be the three-month penalty

My husband was moved from CCA Med Sec in Cushing,Ok to OSP Max Sec in McAlester,Ok over a month ago due to a guard getting caught bringing contraband into the prison at CCA and saying that she was bringing it in for my husband. So CCA moves him to OSP and Internal Affairs in OKDOC states that he's involved in an open investigation but no charges have been filed against him at this time. since his arrival at OSP he has been detained in the infirmary in a camera cell. The first 4 weeks he was not allowed to have anything, no toiletries, no phone privileges, no visits, not allowed to write, not allowed to receive mail, no canteen whatsoever and was not even allowed shower shoes. He was only able to have 1 book. This week, the 5th week They've finally allowed him to have shower shoes and receive mail. They told him he's a political prisoner and give him no clue of how long he will have to stay in the camera cell with limited very privileges. Is there an OP or regulation or anything that states the amount of time that they're allowed to detain him in this manner without filing charges?

An inmate who is under investigation for conspiracy to smuggle contraband has basically no rights. They are not entitled to a lawyer, they are not entitled to privileges afforded to other inmates. Privileges such as phone time, commissary and visitation may be taken away for months and months because they are not a basic inmate right, they are "an extra". How long does someone get if they are convicted on two accounts of attempted murder

It depends on a few factors. Criminal history, circumstances of the offense, injuries or damages are just some of the components in determining the length of the sentence. If we were to simply guess without knowledge of some of the factors listed above, 10 - 20 years.

It depends on him. If he wants to break the cycle of being incarcerated, then he will go straight. If he is too institutionalized he will keep going back. You already know this, but he is the only one that can decide, you can't do it for him.

Hi how are U I have a brother that's in Wade correction center judge Dozer and he has passed away sentenced him to 35 years in prison for 2 attempts of robbery and 3 robberies. I myself do not think it was right he went to jail in 2000 and they just keep shipping him I personally don't think it was right. He was getting a mental check and I don't think judge Black shouldn't of gave him that long in prison. My question is, is there anyway that I could do something about that he has been in there for 16 yrs now I just think 16 yrs is enough and how do I go by trying to get them to overturn his 35 yrs

Yes, sixteen years is a lot of time, but the offender's criminal history is long, too. In our opinion, and we are not lawyers, unless there is some new evidence that will compel the judge to reopen the case we do not think there is ANY chance that this will get overturned - especially without some very good reason.
