Most detention centers do not allow conjugal visits. There are a few state systems that allow it but none in county or federal. The visits are not "intimate" and depending upon the custody level of your inmate, you might not even have contact. The county jails are difficult to assess as the visitation rules differ. We would advise calling them and getting specific instructions to be sure.

The general rule is a hug and a kiss when you arrive and leave and "no contact" during the visit. The guards pretty much determine how liberal the contact might be (i.e. hand holding ok, "touching" not usually). You just have to be VERY careful and aware during the visit as the guards have the final say. They can end the visit or even suspend future visits. The guards want to be respected, too.

There are no conjugal visits in federal prison. Conjugal visits in state prison can only occur of the parties are legally married.

Usually, new inmates that are not in the general population are awaiting a decision on just where they will place them based upon their criminal history and how crowded the prison is has some factors.  If the inmate is low-risk for instance, they might not have a space until someone gets moved so they wouldn't place him in a potentially dangerous situation. Or vise versa. This time period is confusing but it is mainly done to make sure they do

There are a few with the name "Florence" in them.  Some are county, some are state and some are federal facilities.  Check the Prison Directory on the home page for details. To visit, you need approval from the facility.  You will fill out a form and submit it (some require a small fee to run a background check). Once approved, you are permitted to visit.  Make sure to read the rules about what you can bring and how to dress.

YES, You can definitely get more visitation time being from out of state. The only thing that you need to do beforehand is to have your inmate fill out a "special visit" form and get the visit approved by the warden or whomever the person is a his facility that approves such things.

They do not release on the weekends. It will be up to the individual facility as to which day they choose to release him, Best guess would be Monday the 20th - but we suggest you call the facility and ask them what they intend to do.

You will first need to send in an application with a small processing fee to the Arizona Department of Corrections for a background check.  Once you are approved, you will need a photo ID to gain access on the day that your inmate is approved for visitation. You can read about their rules HERE.

There are provisions for visitation where an out-of-town visitor may be granted a "Special Visit".  You must have your inmate get written approval for such a visit.  If you just show up and ask to go in, you will be turned away.  Counselors, unit managers or wardens usually grant these requests - provided they are not frequent.

There are several Tucson units, and each may have a different custody level which would affect the visitation procedures. The lower custody facilities do allow one hug when you come in and one hug when you leave.
