my uncle needs to make a report of fraud on his property , his ex wife forged his signature and refinanced his house without him knowing how can he do this ?
Call the police in the jursidiction where the house is located. Report everything you know about the alleged crime, pretty simple stuff.
We have no idea. Craigslist is the Wild West, where anything can go. There is nothing to filter their listings, buyer beware.
I received a letter and it wasn't from my fiancé, it was from another inmate, what do you think could be going on?
It could be that your inmate either lost your letter or simply gave it to another inmate who took it upon themselves to write something dirty. Mail is sacred in prison and inmates always receive theirs unless your inmate is having their mail hijacked by another inmate. We can't give you a "for sure" answer on what's going on, but we are more suspicious of your fiance acting out against you (for whatever reason) and we'd look to him to...Read more
Do inmates befriend people that could be potential partners on the outside to get them to send money and stuff?
Yes, inmates absolutely will try to befriend people that they communicate with to do favors for them and more. Since there is so much idle time available, inmates become experts at manipulation but the person they are communicating with has to be complicit. As they say, "it takes two to tango". It starts out innocently like a pen pal relationship but it can grow into more than that, and oftentimes it does. Inmates have even married some of their suitors....Read more
Do all inmates mislead women to get by while locked down and they never have any intention on being with that women when released?

You are going to have to be the deciding factor - do you believe them and is there a history of trust? If there is a bad history, then your heart should lead you to...Read more
My nephew (inmate) is asking that someone purchase visa or money cards so that funds may be received from the IRS, is this legitimate?
This sounds like something that is getting a lot of national press. A federal indictment alleges that Tanka James Tetzlaff, 39, of Duluth, and Tony Terrell Robinson, 30, of Bayport, were the ringleaders. They each face a count of conspiracy to defraud the United States, plus ten...Read more
There are many good legal minds in prison but also so many desperate people, too. It's hard to give advice not knowing the strong suit of the legal aide and the price they are charging. Common sense and instinct tells me that in MOST cases, an inmate cannot work legal magic from inside a prison. Read the section Inmate Scams and learn about some of the unbelievable things that are being done to the unsuspecting.
