Yes, inmates in the SHU are only eligible to get and send mail. The mail is delivered on a normal schedule. They are allowed ONE 15-minute phone call per week.

We are not aware of any facility allowing nudity sent in through the mail. I definitely would have LOVED it!! But, they get rejected routinely for as little as a nip-slip. We feel bad for your fiance, he'll have to revert to the ones of you that got through. We love you for doing that for your guy!

If the letter did not get sent back, he definitely got your letter. Since we don't know what is going on in the relationship, but we would encourage you to keep writing and see what happens. If he is a little angry, give it some time. I can tell you for a fact we love every piece of mail that comes in, even junk mail LOL.

Why would he lie about this, in order to stay in an extra month? Sometimes the inmate release date changes slightly for a variety of reasons. If he is lying about this, it might say something about the relationship

This will be the longest day of your life. The reception centers are for admissions and orientation of new inmates. You will have to sit and wait for hours on end as they process you into the system. You will not need clothes, or cell phone (are you kidding?!?!). Your work assignment will come several days later or more. You will be assigned a number, a bunk, and a locker.

Yes, you are responsible for getting the number to your inmate. You can use one more "expensive call" to relay the number, you can try to contact the facility to see if they will pass it along (the rules prohibit it, but some of the COs will if you're nice on the phone) or mail the number in a postcard or letter.
